What is a deposit/ drop in safe?

A repository for cash, and other important documents and papers. If the goods are inserted in the slot it is impossible to remove them afterwards through the slot / drawer. The goods can only be removed by a person who is authorized to open the safe and has a key or a code.

The documents / valuables are protected against unauthorized access, fire and water.

Due to technical devices, there is a return lock, which prevents the removal. Your deposit safe can be made of steel, steel alloy or similar material. You have different levels of security available and of course you can also choose the size or the lock variant. Choose a tested and certified safe that meets the test standards. The inside plaques indicate the test institute or security class.

How does a deposit safe works?

Your employees / customers can place valuables, cash, etc. from outside through a deposit slot in the deposit safe. Documents or cash can be also deposited into the accessible drawer from the outside. When the drawer is closed, a locking mechanism is triggered that blocks the interior and it is no longer possible to steal items from it. When the drawer is closed, the valuables fall into the interior of the safe and cannot be removed any longer.

Deposit safes are available:

• With insertion slot

• With drawer

The principle is always the same. Anyone can say anything (we speak of your employees, customers), no longer take out. This happens elsewhere.

The difference between a deposit safe and a drawer safe

For both security products, a locking mechanism prevents the withdrawal of money / valuables. The deposit safe can be equipped with a drawer or slot. The term “night safe” is also common because people are using it out of business hours - e.g. already at night, daily delicacies of a restaurant - stowing money in the night safe.

Finding the right location for your safe

Do not complicate your employee’s job - so don’t hide the deposit safe in the basement or loft. Place it so that it is easily accessible to your employees, but not immediately catching the customer's eye. Other persons, apart from the employees should not enter a restaurant and immediately see a safe deposit box. The rule applies to all types of safe. A good place to install the safe would be in an office or a room that is not used by all. A deposit safe can be installed and anchored at any point. In any case consult with the specialist.

Who should consider buying a deposit safe?

Private use or commercial use?

A deposit safe should not be installed in a private home, instead opt for a wall safe, a document cabinet or a key cabinet to protect your valuables.

Commercial use:

  • Financial institutions
  • Gastronomy
  • Shift operations
  • Car rentals
  • Petrol stations
  • Supermarkets

Which type of safe you will decide upon?

That's not an easy decision, every lock has its advantages and disadvantages. We are happy to inform you about the different types.

Double bitted key lock

Would you like a key lock safe? Then select the double bitted lock and take good care of the key. 2 keys are provided for all safes.

Mechanical combination lock

Again, this works very easy, but you have to remember the code / secret number. Batteries and power are unnecessary.

Electronic lock

You need to remember the secret numbers (code) and if necessary change the batteries, which is not too difficult. Your numbers can change as you wish. In case of a battery problem there is also the possibility of emergency power supply.

Fingerprint

With a finger touch, the lock opens. You do not need keys or a code. 60 different fingerprints can be saved.
